Using this website and requesting a quote
These terms explain how to use The Waste Removal Company website and request a waste collection. Sending a form, email or WhatsApp message is an enquiry, not a confirmed booking. A collection is agreed only when the service provider confirms the work, price and appointment with you.
The Waste Removal Company website describes a waste collection network linked to Dumpit Scotland. The business responsible for carrying out your particular job, its contact details and any service-specific terms must be identified before you accept a booking. If another operator is proposed, ask for its details and waste authorisation before agreeing.
Quotes, prices and payment
Quotes depend on the items, quantities, condition, location and access information you provide. Tell the team about stairs, long carries, dismantling, restricted loading and unusual waste. The written quote should state the total payable, any applicable VAT, included labour, transport, disposal and any agreed additional charges.
An estimate based on photographs may need to change if the actual job differs. Any change must be explained and agreed before additional work proceeds. You can decline a revised scope before that additional work starts. Payment method, due date and any deposit must be confirmed with the provider; this website does not take card payments.
Your authority and collection access
You must have authority to dispose of the items. Keep valuables, documents, leased goods and anything you want to retain clearly separate. For commercial, rented or managed premises, obtain the necessary instructions from the owner or responsible person.
Provide safe access and accurate information about parking, gates, lifts and shared areas. Services do not include gas, electrical or plumbing disconnection unless specifically agreed with a competent trade. Do not disturb suspected asbestos or conceal chemicals, sharps, fuel or other hazardous items in ordinary rubbish. The provider may pause or refuse unsafe or undeclared work.
Cancellations, changes and consumer rights
Contact the provider as soon as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange. Any proposed cancellation charge must have been explained before booking and must be lawful and fair. A provider should explain its own cancellation arrangements in the booking confirmation.
For consumers, a service booked online, by phone or away from business premises will generally carry a 14-day cancellation period from the contract date, subject to applicable exceptions. To cancel, send a clear statement by email, telephone or another agreed contact method. Keep a record of when you sent it.
If you request work to start during that period, the provider should obtain your express request and explain any proportionate payment due for work already supplied if you cancel. The right to cancel is lost after full performance only where the required express consent and acknowledgement have been obtained. These terms do not reduce any statutory consumer rights.
Delays, completion and complaints
Arrival times and completion estimates depend on the agreed job, travel and site conditions. The provider should tell you about a material delay and discuss the available options. A basic sweep, where included, is different from deep cleaning or repairs. Check the cleared area with the team where practical.
Report concerns promptly using the contact details in your booking and include the date, job reference and relevant photographs. You can also contact the website team through the contact page. Services must be provided with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Website information and changes
Service pages explain the types of enquiries we accept; availability and suitability are checked for each postcode and job. Example photographs and planning guidance are not a promise that a particular method will be suitable at your property.
These website terms may be updated. The terms agreed when your booking is made apply to that booking. Any applicable governing law or dispute arrangements must respect the protections available to consumers where they live. Read the Privacy Policy for information about personal data.
