Show every part of the shared stair

A top-floor clearance needs photographs of stair turns, landings, doorways and the building entrance. State the floor level and whether a suitable lift is available. A bulky item may fit inside the flat but need assessed dismantling to leave. Do not assume the contractor can remove windows or alter shared parts of the building without a separate arrangement.

Arrange the loading point

Include the route from the close to the proposed vehicle position and any known restrictions. The nearest space may be unsuitable for loading or unavailable at the appointment time. Discuss access with the relevant manager or neighbours where needed, keeping permissions clear. Long carrying distances can affect labour even when the waste volume is modest.

Keep communal routes usable

Do not stack rubbish on landings or block access before the team arrives. Agree how retained surfaces and shared areas will be protected. Tell the collector about heavy, sharp or unusual items in advance. A clear plan lets the provider assess the actual work rather than quoting only from a photograph of the contents inside the flat.
